Gretchen Helps Get Jenny Out of Bed

This story is actually about my three younger siblings. Cody was five years old, Landon was three, and Kelsea, our little sister, was a newborn. As the two boys heard Kelsea crying in her crib one morning, they got the excellent idea to help Dad out. Our dad was a single father since the death of our mom and he often worked nights. Getting Kelsea out of bed and letting Dad sleep in was a very thoughtful idea. The only problem was the plan they had come up with to carry out this thoughtful idea. Our dad, half-asleep in his own bed a few yards away, heard Cody climb into Kelsea’s crib and whisper to Landon, “I’ll throw her down to you. You catch her.” With that, Dad was fully awake and out of bed. “I’m up!” he said, walking over, effectively ending my brothers’ kind but questionable operation.
